Friends fund memorial bench for beloved Moorfields colleague

The bench, at the Moorfields Eye Unit at St Ann’s Hospital, is part of a tribute to staff nurse Regino Magat, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Staff at Moorfields at St Ann’s led an initiative to plant a small garden as a way to remember Gino, who was a valued member of the team and made many significant contributions during his time at Moorfields. His colleagues will remember him for his dedication, kindness and cheerful nature.
Friends of Moorfields funded a memorial bench, with a plaque dedicating it to Gino’s memory, as part of the garden. The bench and garden, located just outside the entrance to the clinic, will provide a calm and quiet space for both patients and staff to sit, rest, and remember Gino.
