Leaving a Legacy
How your gift could support our work
Gifts in wills are vital to Friends of Moorfields, providing a significant proportion of our annual income.
Any gift, no matter the amount, can help us continue our work to support Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Trust, and keep making a difference to patients and staff.
Your gift could help us:
- run our 350-strong volunteer service, helping make sure patients have the best possible experience
- operate our Health Information Hub, offering support and advice to patients
- fund the salaries of health play specialists, helping young patients have a positive hospital visit
- continue growing our services in response to patients’ needs, into the future

How to leave a gift in your will
Having an up-to-date will can provide peace of mind about what will happen to your assets. The Law Society recommends you check your will at least every five years and after any major life changes, such as getting married, having children, moving house or retiring.
Chat with your solicitor about how you would like to leave a gift. You could choose one of the following:
- leaving a share of your estate, otherwise known as a residuary gift
- leaving a specific sum of money from your estate
- leaving a particular named item
Our registered charity number is 1161546.
