As a specialist eye hospital, one of Moorfields proactive responses to the current Covid-19 crisis was to redeploy ophthalmic clinical staff to other mainstream trusts to help them with treating infected patients. As you can imagine this was a very different role to what they were used to, as well as being very stressful and challenging.

As an uplifting and appreciated gesture, the Friends office put together “Thank You” gift bags for 150 staff redeployed to these front line roles. After contacting numerous companies, we received a tremendous response and outpouring support from vendors across the UK.

The staff were thrilled to receive their bags and wanted us to pass on their thanks to the companies that donated.
