Volunteer raises almost £200 with cake sale

One of our dedicated volunteers has used her baking talents to raise £188.56 with a cake sale at Moorfields Potters Bar.
Meeting and greeting volunteer Jackie, who has been volunteering at the Potters Bar clinic for just over a year, baked muffins, brownies, flapjacks, cookies and more to sell in the clinic’s waiting area, as part of our £60 for 60 years fundraising challenge. Jackie was assisted by Clinic Manager Valerie, Friends of Moorfields Senior Volunteer Support Officer Liam and fellow volunteer Anne.
The sale took place on Monday 22 May, and business was brisk all morning, with many patients and visitors donating a little something extra as well as buying cake.
“The event was a huge success,” said Liam. “We’re so grateful to Jackie for all her hard work baking, to Val for all her support with organising this event, and to all our volunteers at Potters Bar who do such a fantastic job every day.”
